The Rotary Club of Aurora's 17th annual Taste of the Western Reserve will be April 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Signature of Solon. Tickets are $35 each in advance or $40 each at the door, and guests may purchase tables of 10 for $400.

There will be sample food from 20 Northeast Ohio restaurants, a silent auction, and the raffle ticket sales will support Believe in Dreams. Last year, more than 400 guests enjoyed the event. Contact Scott Pease at 330-995-0219 for more details and tickets.

Rotary's local level 4 Way Test speech competition took place this morning (Feb. 22) at the Aurora Inn.

Rotary meets for breakfast at the Aurora Inn every first, third and fourth Wednesday at 7:30 a.m., plus the second Wednesday at 6 p.m.


Alane and Landon Schechter of Fountain Valley, Calif. announce the birth of twins Navalli Addison and Marley Rose on Jan. 24. They weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces and 6 pounds, respectively.

Schechter is a graduate of Aurora High (class of 1998). Grandparents of the newborns are Sharon and Michael Weinreb of LaVerne, Calif., Paula Fishman and Jeff Sindelar of Sarasota, Fla. and Sue and Ted Schechter of Mogadore.
