Family LIFE at LoL
Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Bainbridge is a welcome place for young families.
One offering is a ministry called Family LIFE, which stands for “Families Living In Faith Everyday” and is a ministry that provides families opportunities to gather and support each another in raising their young children.
Recently, families gathered to provide fresh-baked dessert for Lord of Life’s mission team to serve at Laura’s Home and City Mission in Cleveland.
Guided by parents, some of Lord of Life’s youngest members mixed, stirred, and poured to produce over 300 brownies. They also created one-of-a-kind place mats for the children at Laura’s Home. One of the volunteer servers remarked, “The women and children at Laura’s Home loved the brownies. They were asking for more.”
Over the next year, events are planned for families with young children to serve, worship and simply have fun as they get to know one another in a variety of settings. The family activities include creating and delivering Valentine treat bags to home-bound members, an Easter basket collection and participating in the regional CROP Walk.
