Worship services at First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, are on Sundays at 8:30 and 11 a.m. There are many Sunday School classes for all ages which meet from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. There is child care available for infants through preschoolers all morning and a Children's Worship service for those in kindergarten to fifth grade during the 11 a.m. service.

Rejoicing Spirits is a worship service at First Church that is geared toward those with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers. Worship is a "shush-free" experience and includes lots of music and a short message. All are welcome to attend the next service Nov. 19 at 5:30 p.m.
Peninsula United Methodist Church
The Peninsula United Methodist Church is having its annual Election Day Dinner on Nov. 8.
This 80-plus year tradition will feature roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, turnips, coleslaw, cranberry sauce, bread and butter, pie, coffee, and ice water or milk.°
Midday serving times are 11:30 a.m., noon and 12:45 p.m.°
Evening seatings are at 5 p.m., 5:50 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. There is a charge for adults, children ages 13 and older and ages 6 to 12 years. The event is free for children ages 5 and under.°

Bethany United Church of Christ is located at 1235 Broad Blvd. (the northeast corner of Broad Boulevard and 13th Street). Dedication Sunday, Nov. 6 at 10:30 a.m. is when the whole Bethany family comes together to remember God's blessings, the many reasons to be thankful, and to express gratitude. The service will be followed by a potluck dinner.

Youth Fellowship will participate in Rake and Run on Nov. 6 as they rake leaves from members' lawns. On No. 11-13, Bethany YF will be traveling to Flint, Mich. with the youth from Tallmadge Lutheran Church to do some service project work. Donations of 1 gallon, 3 gallons, etc., bottles of water and monetary donations are being accepted at the church.

Members of Broadman Baptist Church are gearing up for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Season. The annual Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings will take place on Nov. 16 for all members and guests. A nursery room is staffed and open for those children under the age of 5.
