The annual meeting of the Aurora Historical Society will be Nov. 16 at the Aurora Inn. The social hour will begin at 6:30, with dinner at 7.

Members will have the opportunity to tour the renovated inn.

Entrees are either Rosemary roasted pork loin with mashed potatoes or chicken piccata with fingerling potatoes. Along with that will be salad, dessert and beverages.

The cost is $25 per person. Reservation forms and payments should be mailed by Nov. 3 to Sandi Post, 429 Millpond Road, Aurora 44202.


At its Oct. 5 meeting, the Rotary Club of Aurora voted to start an Interact Club at the high school, give the Taste of the Western Reserve raffle proceeds to Believe in Dreams and spend $200 for refreshments for the annual leaf-raking day.

The sports night at the Aurora Inn fall fundraiser was discussed, and each members is asked to sell at least five tickets.

Peter DeSouza and Abby Fetcher recently gave a presentation about how Twinsburg was founded from his book "Explore Twinsburg." The town actually was founded by twins Moses and Adam, and originally was named Millsville.

The book can be purchased from DeSouza or the Twinsburg Chamber of Commerce.

Kent Ramsay and Audrey Kancier were guests at the meeting.

Ron Wise from Habitat for Humanity will present the program Oct. 26. There will be a 100th anniversary of the Rotary Club Foundation orchestra concert and dinner Oct. 23, and an evening social dinner Nov. 30.
