Easter Seals Northern Ohio is partnering with Twin Falls United Methodist Church to give back to the community while helping children and adults with disabilities. Twin Falls is hosting a "Fill the Truck" fundraiser to benefit the church missions.

Twin Falls UM Church will be compensated based on the number of bags/pounds of cloth/hard goods collected. Acceptable items include (but are not limited to): clothing, comforters, blankets, towels, sheets, shoes, accessories and purses. Twin Falls will earn 20 cents/pound from those types of cloth donations listed.

Donations that are clean and in good condition are resold at Easter Seals Thrift shops. Stained or torn items will be recycled.

Also accepted will be: small kids' toys/games, books, CDs/DVDs/VHS tapes, kitchen wares (pots/pans, silverware, dishes, etc.), small picture frames/wall hangings, knickknacks and jewelry. Twin Falls will be paid 5 cents/pound for those items.

Easter Seals will provide the truck for donations at the church on Sept. 12 (4 to 8 p.m.) and on Sept. 22 (2 to 5 p.m.). The church is located at 60 North River Road in Munroe Falls.

All donated items will be reused, resold or recycled. All donations are tax deductible. Easter Seals will provide receipts.

Easter Seals' Community Action Program supports vital services for children and adults with disabilities in Northern Ohio. The proceeds from the bulk sale of the contributions support programs such as speech therapy, home care, medical equipment loans and summer camp opportunities.
