Missionary visits LOL

Children at Lord of Life Lutheran Church recently celebrated their yearlong mission of support for a deaf ministry in Orange Walk Town, Belize.

Nancy Marshall is an ordained Mennonite minister and missionary who aids a 5-year-old child during school, fosters a 14-year-old deaf girl and pastors a deaf church in the community.

She surprised the children of Lord of Life with a visit May 11. The children have supported her ministry in Orange Walk Town this year by sending their weekly offering and donating craft supplies to the kids she serves.

The children have gotten to know Nancy through email, videos and letters. She joined them during Sunday school and was met by a signed greeting from each class. She also taught the kids how to sign "Happy Mother's Day" and treated them to mango-flavored lollipops from Belize.
