Seminar slated at Baptist

A baby dedication seminar will take place May 3 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Aurora. Members who wish to dedicate their parenting efforts through baby or child dedication must attend.

My First School Sunday will be May 4 as the children sing, invite their parents to worship and prepare lunch for all church members.

On May 1 at noon, the Aurora Pastors Fellowship will lead a 30-minute prayer service at the Bicentennial Park gazebo on the library grounds (Town Hall if there is rainy weather). All members of churches in Aurora are welcome.

'Dumping Debt' offered

A crash course in "Dumping Debt" will be May 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Christ Community Chapel-Aurora. Dave Ramsay will conduct the worship. Free child care is provided when participants sign up online at

Vacation Bible Camp will be June 23-27 for children age 3 to fifth grade. Cost is $15 per child and includes a T-shirt. Register by May 15 and save $5.

Parents who desire to present their infants (age 2 and younger) to the Lord can participate in baby dedication May 11 (Mother's Day). They must attend a preparation class May 4 at 11 a.m. in the conference room.

Persons are new to the church in the last year are invited to a casual lunch May 18 at noon in fellowship hall.

Women 50 and older and their friends can attend the annual spring luncheon May 14 at noon at the Hudson campus. A musical program will be presented by the men's octet. A $5 donation is requested.

Potluck scheduled May 6

May 6 at 6:30 p.m. is the last potluck dinner at the Church in Aurora before summer break. It will be in fellowship hall. It will be an ice cream social, with ice cream provided, but more main and side dishes are needed.

The workcamp spaghetti dinner and silent auction will be May 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Aurora High School.

Vacation Bible School theme this year is "Jungle Safari." It will run June 9-13. Donations of decorations and props are needed. Anyone who has them should contact Kim Belofsky at
