The next meeting of the Aurora Study Club will take place on Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. in the Church in Aurora's fellowship hall.

The title of the program is "Through the Eyes of the Artist" and will feature Vincent Van Gogh. The speaker is Felicia Zavarella Stadelman of Hudson, who developed a program to bring art into the lives of children.

This program was funded by a grant from the Cleveland Museum of Art and has now become a presentation for all ages. It is designed to uncover interesting details about the world's famous artists. Stadelman will use music, images and prints to enhance the program.

The program speaker for March will be Kate Blakely from Carousel Works in Mansfield. That company is the world's leading expert in wooden carousel design and restoration. Its most unique project has been the creation of the Bronx Zoo Carousel in New York, which is an entirely insect carousel.

Guests are welcome to attend the latter meeting, and refreshments will be served.

The Aurora Chamber of Commerce is rolling out a "Red Hot Daily Deals" promotion every weekday in February.

It will offer Aurora Chamber members and area residents valuable, one-day only discounts every weekday in February from participating Chamber members such as restaurants Mad Jack's and Cafe Toscano and retail shops the Latest Scoop and Abigail's.

Meanwhile, the Chamber's annual "State of the City" luncheon will be Feb. 13 at 11:30 a.m. at the Bertram Inn and Conference Center. Cost is $20 per member and $30 per non-member.

The membership services committee will meet Feb. 25 at 8 a.m. at the Chamber headquarters and the pro-business / tourism committee will gather Feb. 26 at 9 a.m.m at Aurora Farms Premium Outlets.

The Aurora Botanicals garden club will meet Feb. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Walker Building on West Pioneer Trail, with Tara Winland of Elderberry Trail Farm LLC speaking on "All About Elderberry."
