LOL to aid food bank

Because funding is scheduled to cut from $6,000 to $500 in 2014, Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Bainbridge Township will collect funds until the end of the year to support the Burton Food Bank.

Rob Henderson, a pastor at Lord of Life, said the goal is $5,500, the amount of funding that will disappear in 2014. The church will match all gifts dollar per dollar up to $2,750. "If we are able to raise that amount, along with the church match, we can help keep this needed ministry in place for those most in need in the area," a member of the Women's Bible study group said.

Lord of Life is located at 17989 Chillicothe Road, Chagrin Falls. For information on contributing, call 440-543-5505 or email
