For anyone interested in joining Hudson Players, and getting a sneak peak of next year's season, make plans to attend the group's annual spring membership meeting April 9 at 6 p.m. at the Barlow Community Center at 41 S. Oviatt St. in Hudson.

Whether it be looking for people to appear on stage, backstage, or up in the technical booth, Hudson Players has been presenting a wide variety of theatrical productions in Hudson for more than 70 years.

"Our motto is 'good shows, good friends, good times' and we are always looking for new members to add their special skills and talents to our organization," said Dana Herro, Hudson Players president. "With our sold-out run of Mary Poppins this winter and the funny murder mystery Thumbs in the fall, we have had an exceptional season so far, and expect to end on a high note when the madcap musical On The Twentieth Century opens at the end of April."

Herro says Hudson Players is already planning for next year and has recently completed the selection process for the three productions that will be presented for the 2017-18 season.

The slate of shows will be announced at the upcoming membership meeting. In addition, the organization's "volunteer of the year" also will be presented.

To ensure theatregoers don't get shut out for sold-out shows, Hudson Players will continue to offer a season pass, which includes a ticket for each show for just $30. This represents a savings of $4 off the regular price of each ticket.
