1 OSU Men's Glee Club to perform April 12
The Ohio State University Men's Glee Club will perform on April 12 at 7p in the Hudson High School auditorium. The high school Chamber Choir will open the concert. The Men's Glee Club ranks as one of the top 7 best men's choirs in the country. You do not want to miss them!
Tickets are $8 and can be bought at the door or through PayPal at www.hudson.k12.oh.us/ Page/ 12784 until April 9. Your PayPal receipt will serve as your ticket. All proceeds will benefit the Hudson High School Choirs.
2 Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, HHS Jazz Bands performs
At this concert, the professional musicians of the CJO will sit side by side with the student musicians of the high school jazz ensembles. The CJO, Jazz I and Jazz II will perform several selections alone but they will also play several tunes together in an extra-large big band. Prior to the concert, the CJO will provide hands-on instruction to the students during a side by side rehearsal and clinic.
3 Learn more about Olive Oil at Twinsburg Garden Club
Love olive oil? This event's for you: Don't miss the chance to catch Linda Coleman, owner of Olive My Heart in Hudson, at the Twinsburg Garden Club's April 6 meeting. She'll be discussing the "liquid gold" that we know as olive oil. The event is at Christ the King Lutheran Church; the club's business meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. and the program is at 7:45. 4 Bunny Hop over to Cuyahoga Falls
An early start on Easter: Hop to Quirk Cultural Center April 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the Bunny Hop event. This event, a holiday tradition, includes a light lunch and and Easter treat bag, not to mention a visit by the Easter Bunny. Advance registration is needed; call 330-971-8425.
Instead of the movie : The "tale as old as time" is a big hit in movie theaters right now, but here's your chance for something even better. Cuyahoga Falls High School's production of "Beauty and the Beast" hits the stage April 7 and 8 at 7 p.m. and April 9 at 2:30 p.m. See talented local kids play Belle, Gaston and more favorites.
5 Judy Brown performs at Stow Woman's Club
Stay 'Young at Heart' with great musical event: The Stow Woman's club hosts Judy Brown, April 6 at 1 p.m. at First Christian Church, singing "Music for the Young at Heart." Brown boasts more than three decades of performance experience and has appeared with the likes of Don Ameche and Rip Taylor. You may have caught her singing the national anthem for all three major Cleveland teams. It's a free program and it's open to all.
