Lyndsey Anne Bowers and Jason Shugarts were united in marriage Sept. 17, 2016, in Lakewood, Ohio, Chelsea Duffin as Officiant.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Twinsburg High School and a 2005 graduate of Kent State University. She works at Level Seven in Independence. The groom is a Parma High School graduate and works at Data Techspert Services in Richfield.
The bride's parents are Brian and Leslie Bowers of Twinsburg. The groom's parents are Henrica and Gerald Shugarts of Brunswick.
Ceremony music was provided by Ryan and Brad Zinn. Wedding colors represented their Cleveland hometown of blue and orange. The bride was escorted by her father, Brian, and she wore a white, sleeveless gown gown with a lace overlay, decorated with lines of crystal raindrop designs. She wore her sister's veil to complete the ensemble.
The bouquet included white cloth flowers with accents of blue and orange.
The matron of honor was Lacey Flynn, of Centerburg, Ohio, sister of the bride. The flower girls were Evie Flynn, niece of the bride; and Kyla Patrick, friend of the groom. Bridesmaids included Megan Dow, Holly Jaster, Carla Kuhn, Kristy Meister, Shayna Movens, Danielle Ott, Stacey Speelman and Michele Volk.
Best man was Brian Russu of Parma, best friend of the groom. Ring bearer was Brayden Patrick, friend of the groom.
The couple, soon to reside in North Olmsted, honeymooned on a cruise to the Western Caribbean.
Many who attended the wedding said "it was the best they had been to."
