Redeemer Christian School Music Department will celebrate its fifth anniversary of Broadway Musical productions with its presentation of Disney's famed Aladdin.

During the past five years this annual production has grown from a small school event into a four-performance, full-stage production with a cast and crew of more than 60 children in grades 1-8.

Under the direction of the school's Fine Arts Coordinator Lisa Burnside and the watchful eyes of Musical staff members, the cast learns and rehears their lines, songs and choreography each day after school, while behind the scenes more than a dozen volunteers work on stage construction and costume design in order to bring the stage to life.

The school will present, Music Theatre International's version of "Disney Aladdin Jr.," the adventure of a young orphan boy learning to be himself, who falls in love with a beautiful princess seeking her freedom in the midst of an evil plot by Vizier to take over as sultan. The final outcome will be revealed March 16 and 17 at 7 p.m., and again on March 18 at 11 a.m. Tickets are $6 for adults $4 for seniors and students ages 5 through 15. Children under 5 will be admitted free. Tickets will be available at the door. The production will take place at the Redeemer Family Life Center, located at 2141 Fifth St. in Cuyahoga Falls.
