Celebrate the change in season with two Avant-Garde Art & Craft Shows coming to town this upcoming March in Chagrin Falls and Rocky River. These local handmade shows feature nearly 100 vendors per event, with a portion of proceeds going to local charities.

For those unfamiliar, the Avant-Garde Art & Craft Show line is an Indie inspired artisan and crafter show that travels all over the mid-west region. With 17 shows in the Cleveland-Akron-Canton area, Columbus, Pittsburgh and Detroit, the Avant-Garde Art & Craft Shows feature all local handmade talent at each event. Keeping with the local theme, each show supports a unique localized charity to help keep money in the communities in which they are held.

"We're really excited to kick off our show season this March, there's a lot of great new vendors and a lot of return favorites," said founder and owner Becki Silverstein. "The shows have definitely grown in popularity over the past six years. Our vendor list keeps growing each year, as do the crowds. We can't wait to showcase the local talent that Northeast Ohio has to offer this upcoming spring."

For those interested in attending, the show season first kicks off in Chagrin Falls at the Federated Church Family Life Center (16349 Chillicothe Road), on March 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and March 12 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. A portion of proceeds from this event will be donated to Wigs for Kids to support children with cancer.

The following weekend, the show will travel to Rocky River and be held at the Rocky River Memorial Hall, 21016 Hilliard Blvd., on March 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and March 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. A portion of proceeds from this event will be donated to the Cleveland Animal Protective League for animal rescue.
