Steve and Elizabeth (Kish) Tuza of Cuyahoga Falls recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

They were married Jan. 11, 1957 in Austria.

They have two children: Elizabeth Young of Cuyahoga Falls and Steve Jr. of Akron.

They have two grandchildren: Jennifer Stump and Robert Young. They also have six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Tuza is retired from General Motors.

The couple recently celebrated their anniversary with family and close friends in a surprise diner at Waterloo Restaurant.

They escaped Hungary during the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, according to their daughter Elizabeth.

"They are the most amazing couple, parents and grandparents, ever," said Elizabeth Young. "Family means everything to them. (They) worked hard to build a life together and (are) proud to be Americans." Young added her parents are "an inspiration to all."
