The Harmony Gold Show Choir, Performing and Fine Arts Boosters, and the administration of Walsh Jesuit High School announce the First Annual Walsh Jesuit Great Lakes Show Choir Invitational on Feb. 4 at Walsh Jesuit High School. The competition, sponsored by Physician's Weight Loss, will feature more than a dozen top-notch show choirs from Ohio and throughout the Midwest. The school hopes to make this an annual event.

The Great Lakes Invitational performances will take place in the intimate Center Stage Theatre. An expert panel of judges will award captions for Best Show, Best Choral Sound, Best Choreography, Best Combo and Best Crew. The top five choirs from the preliminary round will advance to the evening finals.

The Walsh Jesuit Great Lakes Invitational will be very spectator-friendly. Audience members will have the opportunity to enjoy some of the most entertaining song and dance put to stage.

Each choir will present a different style and theme with full costumes, personalized sets and professional sound and lighting. There will be a varied food selection available for purchase and provided by "A Taste of Excellence" catering.

Tickets may be purchased at the door. Proceeds will cover the cost of the event and will also benefit the Harmony Gold Show Choir's upcoming trip to the "Fame" National Show Choir Championships in Branson, Mo.
