Robert E. and Floriana F. Hall of Cuyahoga Falls recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary.
They were married Dec. 31, 1948 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls.
The Halls' children and their spouses are: Cynthia (Larry) Odom of Overland Park, Kan.; David (Jean) Hall of Massillon; Robert (Janice) Hall of Keller, Texas; Marlene (Donald) Wyzynski of Cuyahoga Falls; and Joyce (Edward) Mitchell of Tallmadge.
The Halls have nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, with twins due in May.
Robert served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in Utah when he was a senior in high school. He served in the U.S. Army for five years - three of them in North Africa and Italy. Robert retired from B.F. Goodrich Co. in Akron with 45 1/2 years of service. He also was employed by the Akron Board of Education for 14 years.
Floriana graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1945. She is a Distinguished Alumna. She studied business at The University of Akron. An author and a poet, she has written 17 non-fiction and poetry books.
A family dinner took place at Red Lobster on Dec. 31 in Cuyahoga Falls with 15 family members in attendance, including daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Larry Odom, from Overland Park, Kan.
Robert and Floriana both reside at National Church Residences Nursing Home in Cuyahoga Falls.
