The North Water Street Gallery will host "Gong and Singing Bowl Improvisations" with Lisa Miralia and Paul Stranahan Oct. 22, starting at 8 p.m.
There also will be a meet-and-greet before the event at 7:30 p.m.
Percussionist Paul Stranahan will perform a solo set of otherworldly improvisations on an array of gongs and Tibetan singing bowls. Then Lisa Miralia will join Paul to play their innovative and dynamic soundscapes using both ancient and modern acoustic and electronic instruments. They draw influences from the avant-garde, free improvisation, experimental noise, metal, musique concrte, and ambient musics, but the results are wholly original and will never be reproduced exactly the same way again.
The North Water Street Gallery is at 300 N. Water Street, Suite H in Kent.
