"Eclectic Expression," artwork by award-winning artist Irene Tobias Rodriguez, will be on display from Sept. 5 through 30 in the Stark State College gallery on the second floor of the Student Center.

The public is invited to an artist's reception Sept. 14 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Room S204 in the Student Center.

An artist and art teacher, Rodriguez works mainly with acrylic paints and art quilts, but also uses a variety of media in creating original art quilts, digital paintings, photographs, ink drawings, gourd art and various three dimensional art, including hand felted wool head figures. Rodriguez holds a bachelor's degree in art education from Bowling Green State University and continued post-graduate studies at Hiram College and the University of California, Berkeley. She taught art for many years in Ohio schools and also has taught children and adults at the Canton Museum of Art and North Canton Public Library.

All art displayed in the show is available for purchase, with 25 percent of the proceeds going to the College's aesthetics fund.
