Stow and Munroe Falls feature events throughout the year for people of all ages to attend and participate in. Here is a listing of many of the happenings; look for more information on each one in the Stow Sentry closer to the dates.

Stow-Munroe Falls Community Showcase -- April 2 and 3 at Stow-Munroe Falls High School

The Showcase is presented by the Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce, Stow-Munroe Falls City School District, and the cities of Stow and Munroe Falls. There will be food, entertainment, displays and information on area churches and organizations, free shredding, numerous door prize drawings and so much more.

Dessert Extravaganza -- April 21-- Silver Lake Country Club

The Stow-Munroe Falls Library Foundation will have its 10th Annual Dessert Extravaganza celebration and fundraiser.

Junior Firefighter Obstacle Course -- May 14 -- Fire Station 3, Stow

This fundraiser is sponsored by the city of Stow / Stow Safety Forces Relay For Life team. The event will include lunch and activities including going through an obstacle course one-on-one with a Stow firefighter. 100 percent of the donations go to Relay For Life through the city of Stow / Stow Safety Forces team.

RiverFest -- June 4 -- Brust Park and the banks of the Cuyahoga River in Munroe Falls -- GETTING MORE INFO

Stow Pride Festival -- June 24-July 4 -- Activities at various locations around Stow

The Stow Pride Festival features activities to spotlight all that Stow has pride in. Past Pride Festivals have included golf outings, ice cream socials and pancake breakfasts, the annual Chamber of Commerce Pride Community Breakfast with award presentations, concerts, library events and 5K runs. The celebration culminates in the annual Fourth of July Parade.

Relay For Life -- June 25 -- Stow Glen Retirement Village, Stow

This year's Relay will be from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The event aims to to raise awareness about cancer and collect donations to support the American Cancer Society.

Munroe Falls Ice Cream Social -- July XX -- Guise Park, Munroe Falls

This free event features entertainment, games, crafts and of course, ice cream. NO PHOTOS AVAILABLE

National Night Out -- Aug. 2 -- Stow Safety Center and the Summit County Fairgrounds

Stow and Munroe Falls Police Departments host National Night Out events, including food, crafts, crime prevention information and a chance to meet officers from both departments.

The Louis Dirker Memorial Run -- Aug. 20 -- Stow

A memorial run will take place in memory of retired Police Chief Louis A. Dirker II. MORE INFO AND PHOTOS TO COME

Summer Sunset Blast -- Sept. 3-4 -- Silver Spring Park, Stow

Area residents are invited to celebrate summer as it approaches its end with the annual Summer Sunset Blast festival in Silver Springs Park. Inflatables, food vendors, organizations, live entertainment and a fireworks show fill the Labor Day weekend.

Paw Fest -- Sept. 18 -- Bow Wow Beach Dog Park, Stow

Paw Fest is a free event sponsored by the Stow-Munroe Falls Lions Club featuring dog contests, entertainment, vendors, food and prize drawings.

Harvest Festival -- Oct. 1-2 -- Silver Springs Park, Stow

Sponsored by the Stow Historical Society, the event will be at Heritage Reserve Park at Silver Springs Park. Craft vendors, historic home tours, old-time craft demonstrations, raffles, concessions, children's activities, farm animals, musical entertainment, and old-fashioned apple butter stirring are some of the offerings available.

Munroe Falls Tree Lighting -- Dec. 2 -- City Hall and Guise Park, Munroe Falls

The city of Munroe Falls hosts its annual tree lighting ceremony, followed by a reception and visit from Santa at Guise Park Lodge.
