Actors' Summit, Akron's professional theater, announces the production of "Back To Bacharach And David," a musical review featuring the most popular songs by the most popular composers of the 70's and 80's.

"Back To Bacharach And David" features over two dozen of the team's top 40 hits, many of them recorded originally by Dionne Warwick. The production features a cast of 4 actor/singers plus a back-up ensemble.

Burt Bacharach is a six-time Grammy Award winner and three-time Academy Award winner. Many of his hits featured lyrics written by Hal David as part of the duo Bacharach and David. With Paul Hampton, David co-wrote the country standard "Sea of Heartbreak", a hit for Don Gibson and others.

The duo's film work includes the Oscar-nominated title songs for "What's New Pussycat?" and "Alfie", "The Look of Love", from Casino Royale; and the Oscar-winning "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. In addition, "Don't Make Me Over", "(They Long to Be) Close to You", and "Walk On By" have been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
