The Valley Art Center's 31st Annual Art by the Falls juried art festival will take place June 7 and 8 at Riverside Park in Chagrin Falls.

More than 120 artists from around the country will display and sell their work 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 7 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 8. From fine jewelry, fiber and wearable art, exquisite paintings and photography to striking sculpture, pottery, art glass, hand crafted wood pieces, metal art and art for your garden, the show offers something for almost everyone's taste and budget.

A make and take children's booth will keep the little ones busy with a creative project for a donation while parents have time to shop and meet with friends.

In addition to exceptional artwork and several renowned artists demonstrating their craft, such as woodcarver David F. Shankland, the show includes an artful selection of live music and performances in the park during the show hours. Performances range from folk and rock to Native American flutes, and even belly dance and modern dance troupes will perform. Of course there is a delicious selection of food to choose from with seven vendors participating.

As always, admission is free. It doesn't get any better than that, according to VAC Executive Director, Mary Ann Breisch. She said the event draws artists to the region from throughout the nation and Canada and hundreds of patrons visit the show year after year.

"There's always something new to surprise and delight our visitors," Breisch explained. "There will be some exciting exhibitors who will be new to this event along with veterans who consistently manage to bring fresh artistic ideas to the show. Our artists look forward to the event as much as their patrons."

In addition, this year Valley Art Center and Chagrin Arts will present the first ever Chagrin Falls Music Crawl June 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. after Art by the Falls.
