Act-It UP! Community Theater presents its fourth annual Mystery Dinner Theater production, "The Mysterious Case of the Mournful Cowboy" on April 25 and 27.

It will be staged at Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 130 Broad Blvd. in Cuyahoga Falls.

The show, written and directed by Shari Lynn Schneider, follows Detective Smythe (Larry McWilliams). An uncle has passed away and bequeathed him piles of books from his extensive library. Among them is a very old, tattered and worn journal. Referenced in the scribbles, he finds that he has a long lost relative and a new mystery to solve; The Mysterious Case of the Mournful Cowboy.

As Detective Smythe begins to unravel the past, he finds that Jeremiah Colton (Ben Arrington), owner of the Blessed Sky Ranch, is under attack by a sneaky, no-good villain named Deek Darksole (Mark Brown), owner of a competing ranch, the Allismine Corral.

Additional cast members include Janna Redd in the principle role as Flora Lee Colton and supporting cast members Lynn Brown, Ryan Dyke, Dan Gerstenberger, Linda Knight, Maxine McGee, Laura McWilliams, JoAnn Neill, Denny Oliver, Karen Sauerbrey, Denny Semick, Leah Thompson, and Ed Schneider.

Performances are April 25 at 7:30 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m.; and April 27 at 6 p.m., with dinner at 5:30 p.m.
