Hudson artists have annual members show
The Hudson Society of Artists is now running its annual March Members Show and Sale at Laurel Lake Retirement Community, 200 Laurel Lake Drive in Hudson, through March 29. The exhibit is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
The Hudson Society of Artists has more than 120 members from the area and surrounding communities. The show will include professional artists as well as giving developing members an opportunity to participate in an exhibit. Fred Graff will select the awards this year. He resides in Medina and is a Signature Member of all three of the major watercolor societies and is considered to be one of the foremost watercolorists today.
Akron Camera Club featured at CVAC
Cuyahoga Valley Art Center will host the Akron Camera Club's annual show. Eighty-five photographs from area photographs will be on exhibit until March 29.
The exhibits are free and open to all.

benefit Community AIDS Network
A Race at the Raffle will take place March 22 to benefit the Community AIDS Network.
The event, which will take place at The Tangier in Akron, includes a Night at the Races, a second chance raffle, and a 50/50 raffle. Tickets are $75 through March 14 and $100 after that.

Join CityMusic Musicians and their special guests from Cleveland's refugee community at the Children's Museum of Cleveland to learn children's songs from all over the globe. Concerts are at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on March 16.
The concert is included free with paid admission or membership.
The Children's Museum is located at 10730 Euclid Avenue in University Circle. The Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Regular admission is $8 for children and adults and free for infants 11 months and younger. 'Not Another Happy Ending' opens film festival
The 38th Cleveland International Film Festival, presented by Dollar Bank, announced that its opening night film on March 19 will be "Not Another Happy Ending."
The film is directed by John McKay and produced by Claire Mundell and co-produced by Wendy Griffin at Synchronicity Films, with David Solomons as screenwriter. "Not Another Happy Ending" tells the story of struggling publisher Thomas Duval (Stanley Weber) who discovers his only successful author, Jane Lockhart (Karen Gillan), has writer's block; and it is up to him to unblock her or he is finished.
Tickets to the Opening Night Gala are $125 per person ($100 for CIFF members). The Gala includes the film at 7 p.m. at Tower City Cinemas, followed by a "Not Another Happy Ending" party at 9 p.m. at Post Office Plaza in Tower City Center. Special guests will include director John McKay and actor Henry Ian Cusick.
Ticket prices for films are $12 for CIFF members and $14 for non-members. 'Sleeping Beauty' at Akron Civic Theatre
The Akron Civic Theatre welcomes ArtReach Touring Theatre to perform "Sleeping Beauty" on March 23 at 2:30 p.m.
An enchanted spindle curses Sleeping Beauty to 100 years of sleep.Although protected by her fairy godmother, will anyone be able to save her?ArtReach brings the classic fairy tale by Charles Perrault, to life in this enchanting adaptation.
