AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zoo is offering local students in grades 5 – 12 a chance to be a zoo professional for a day. Zoorific Career Days will be offered 9 different days and runs from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Participants will be able to spend time with keepers, animal trainers and education staff to learn about what it is like to work at a zoo.

Zoorific Career Days will be offered March 25, April 1, 3, 10, 15 and 17 for students in grades 7-12. The program will also be offered April 2, 9 and 16 for kids in grades 5-6. Students will have an opportunity to go behind-the-scenes, watch animal training sessions, feed the penguins and more.

Registration is required and the cost of the program, which includes lunch at the zoo, is $35 per student for Akron Zoo Members and $40 per student for non-Akron Zoo Members.
