FREDERICKSBURG — Lynn Orr, of Fredericksburg, will serve another three years on the board of directors for United Producers Inc. after he was re-elected on June 20, according to a news release from the company.

Orr, who operates a cow/calf and grain operation and raises corn, soybeans, wheat and hay, has served on the board for nearly 30 years, and currently serves as board chairman. 

"We are pleased Lynn is continuing his role as a director with UPI," Mike Bumgarner, United Producers’ president and CEO, said in the release. "As a cooperative, we are committed to serving our members and ensuring a positive future for the organization, having representation from dedicated farmers, like Lynn, who are passionate about their work, is critical to meeting those objectives."

According to the release, Orr will represent the the Columbus-based company’s district 13, which covers Northeast Ohio. 

United Producers was formed in 1934 and is one of the largest farmer-owned livestock marketing cooperatives in the country, serving more than 30,000 livestock producers in the Midwest, according to the release.
